As we embark on the next holiday we may very well find ourselves in a daze. Seriously, since this Covid hit us back in 2019 / 2020 life has become one blur after another. Am I the only one who feels this way? We have regained some bit or normal, but not much. Do I like this way? I like some of it. I like that people are not going to be all up in my personal space. I have always hated that. So the 6ft thing works great for me. The mask I can clearly do without. I know, I know…. They help. Protection is key. I am just not a fan. I don’t argue with anyone on either way. I just focus on me and my own personal indifference on wearing the darn things. But, if a place I am going requires them then I will put one on. It’s like the “No shirt, No shoes, No service” I grew up following. It just is what it is!
With that being said. The holidays can and will be difficult for many different reasons. A lot of people have lost loved ones to Covid. Also, to other life altering events. The world as we know it has been tossed off its axis. Sadness, anxiety, depression are all real and can be a heavy load to carry. You can not see any of these emotions. But, I assure you they are real. And for those of us like myself who have to deal with them on a regular basis. A little kindness goes a long long way.
When you are out shopping, or on the phone dealing with customer service. Remember, those around you or the person on the other end of the phone may be struggling. He or she may be on the verge of a breakdown. Someone who may just need some kindness in their world. Be that kindness! Life is short, the world is nasty, but you can be a light for someone who is living in the dark.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and all that comes with wishing everyone a very wonderful December. May your last month of this year be filled with Love, Joy and many many laughs.
